Hippodrome / Sultan Ahmet Square / Horse Squaure
With a limit of 100.000 observers, the Hippodrome was the scene for the political battles and the uprisings in the capital city of the Empire. The development of the race tracks and the cavea began in the rule of ruler Septimus Severus and were finished a hundred years after the fact under Constantine the Great. The stones from the structure were utilized as a part of the development of the Blue Mosque. Today, the main stays from the Hippodrome are the three stupendous sections and a wellspring.
The stone pillar was brought from the sanctuary of Carnac on the waterway Nile by the Roman ruler Thedosius. The second one is the ''Column of the Serpent'', brought from the Temple of Apollo in Delphi and the last one is ''Column of Constantine''. The wellspring is a present from German Kaiser Withelm II. to the Ottoman line.
